Multi Vendor Event!

Join us for our 6th annual vendor event! We have over 20 vendors to help you get gifts for everyone on your Christmas list! The event takes place at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds at 5117 Ironwood Rd. South Bend IN 46714. Enter through gate 2 on Ironwood Rd. & the event is on the first building on the left. Be sure to bring a nonperishable food items or an unwrapped children

Free Exercise Class: Walk Indoors!

LaGrange County Public Library All are welcome! Join Purdue Extension and the LaGrange County Public Library for free indoor walking classes developed by Debra Palmer, PhD., of Rutgers University, in collaboration with Leslie Sansone. Come learn about this low impact workout you’ll be able to do in the comfort of your own home. • Receive a free instructional DVD after completing the 6 week session. • Enjoy healthy snack samples, recipes and nutrition information at each class session. Celebrating Families!

The Alcohol and Addictions Resource Center (AARC) is conducting a family group for families that are in the early recovery stages from chemical dependency. The group, Celebrating Families!, focuses on skill-building for parents, youth, and adolescents. The Celebrating Families! Program is a 16 week skills building course where participants will learn skills to promote healthy functioning. Topics covered in group include: healthy living skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, refusal skills, managing conflict and stress, choosing healthy relationships, etc. Classes start January 26, 2015 and will meet weekly from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at AARC: 818 E. Jefferson Blvd. South Bend. Classes begin with a family dinner followed by play time for children ages 4-7, children's program activities for ages 7-11, youth program activities for ages 12-17 and family centered program activities for ages 18 and older. Trees provide shade, increase property value, provide habitat for wildlife, help prevent erosion, naturally purify the air, and so much more. The SWCD is offering a variety of Conifers, Deciduous, & Flowering Trees/Shrubs, as well as rain barrels, groundcover, & wildflower seeds. The funds from this sale help the SWCD provide important services to the community and improve the quality of our environment here in St. Joseph County.
