  • Love Barbecue? This event could be for you

    If you love barbecue you might want to head to the Wellspring BBQ Bash in Shipshewana.  There you can tast barbecue food all day and even get the chance to win a campfire grill.  The bash takes place May 14th from 9am to 3pm. 

  • Celebrate May in Shipshewana

    Ready to celebrate Spring? Then head to Shipshewana the weekend of May 6th for MayFest 2016.  The town will offer bluegrass and gospel music, food, and games for kids.  Saturday, May 7th marks "The Grand MayFest Parade" in town. 

  • Shipshewana Trading Place Flea Market set to open

    The season for the famous Shipshewana Trading Place Flea Market opens May 3rd.  The flea market offers all kinds of finds from Amish goods to leather products.  The market is open every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-5pm until October 1st. 

  • Artist originally from Niles donates art to the city

    Leader Publications reports an artist who grew up in Niles is now donating three of his works to the city.  Michael Hambouz now lives in New York. The art he is donating comes from his series "factory made". According to Leader Publications, city officials would like to eventually display the art at the Andrew Carnegie Library. 

  • Pill drop off set in St. Joseph County

    TRIAD of St. Joseph County will be holding pill drop offs Saturday from 9am to 1 pm at the Douglas Road Fire Station at 333 East Douglas Road and the South Bend Fire Station at 1222 South Michigan.
