United Youth Theatre (UYT) Summer Camps

From 9:00AM to 4:00PM

Summer is just around the corner and camps are back at UYT! Our 2025 summer camps are designed to help EVERY kid build confidence, develop essential life skills, and explore their creativity through the performing arts. Here's a sneak peek at our exciting camp lineup Raise Your Voice: K–6th Musical Theatre Performance Camp An immersive experience where young performers in grades will sing, dance, and act as they explore the world of musical theatre. Acting Adventures: K–5th Camp Acting Adventure focuses on the fundamentals of acting through engaging themes, activities and scenes. Campers will enhance their stage presence, storytelling abilities, and teamwork skills, all within a supportive and fun environment. Storybook Theatre: K–6th Camp Fostering imagination and collaboration as you create your own original stories to bring to life on the stage! Broadway Beats: 7th–12th Musical Theatre Performance Camp A high-energy week of Broadway music and dance! This performance-based camp explores a variety of musical theatre styles and songs from iconic Broadway shows, all leading up to a final showcase. In collaboration with The Music Village Directors Spotlight: 7th–12th Directing Camp Aspiring directors will gain hands-on experience in directing from conceptualization to execution, developing leadership and creative skills. In collaboration with The Robinson Community Learning Center. Each camp is crafted to provide a supportive environment where students can thrive both on and off the stage.

Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Event

The Marshall County Historical Society is sponsoring a Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Event on Friday, June 13th, from Noon – 1:00 p.m. Culver historians Jeff Kenney and The Very Rev. Dr. John Houghton will present a fascinating look at the “Little Known Ladies of Culver.” Whether it's an international aeronautics pioneer, an Alabama librarian who took a nationally-recognized stand against racism, a Potawatomi woman who heavily influenced equal rights for women and men in her tribe, or an infamous serial killer or mystery women who may have created new lives with secrets left behind, chances are you've never heard of at least some of these Culver-area women who led unusual lives.

Copacabana Casino Night Fundraiser

From 5:30PM to 9:30PM

Save the Date! The MCHS and Museum is planning its Second Annual Casino Night Fundraiser, to be held on June 13 at the historic REES Theatre. Take a trip back in time with us to the glamorous Copacabana Night Club of the 1950s. Be prepared for fun, games of chance and a few surprises! You’ll play craps, blackjack, poker and roulette in a perfect Art Deco setting. Grab your daddio, put on your swingin’ threads and mingle with the cool cats in our far-out hot spot! In addition to the game prizes, we will have a Silent Auction featuring items donated by local businesses and individuals. There will be something for everyone! Funds raised will support this year’s community programming and much needed technology purchases. The party starts on June 13 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and will go on sale on May 1. They are $50 each, which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, music from Jack Shellac Gramophone DJ and $25 in chips. Cash bar. United Youth Theatre Presents: Footloose the Musical

Join UYT for our first musical of the 2025 Season! Our cast, crew, and live band made up of over 50 talented kids from across Michiana have poured their energy into creating a show you won’t forget. Footloose is packed with dynamic choreography, iconic 80s songs, and a story that reminds us all of the importance of community, courage, and being true to yourself. Footloose is a vibrant, high-energy musical about Ren McCormack, a teenager who moves to a small town where dancing and rock music are banned. With his new friends, Ren sets out to challenge the town’s rules and show everyone the power of self-expression through music and dance. Filled with iconic songs like “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” this performance will have you tapping your feet and singing along!
