The Eddy Street Commons is hosting a free Coffee and Cars event in the center Saturday, July 20th from 9am to 12:30pm. Come on down and enjoy the festivities! The community will be able to enjoy all the sites as they stroll through the variety of cars that have been developed throughout the ages. Bring the whole family as there will be mobile arcade trailer* and hula hoop contest* and crafts available for the children! Specials will be offered from select tenants as well! *(For ages 12 and under) Do you have a car you would like to show off? Bring it on down! Street parking is on a first come first served basis with additional parking in the Eddy Street Commons parking garage. Registration is the day of the event and each registered driver will receive a free coffee from 7-11! Come early as custom dash plaques are available for every registered car show driver as well while supplies last! The annual Kilts & Corsets party is in motion! Come one come all to Indiana's premier event. This is a charity event benefiting Sleep In Heavenly Peace providing bed for children who have never had one. On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Kamm Island Park, 600 W Front St, Mishawaka, Indiana, the South Bend Fire Fighters Association, Inc. will present the 25th Annual Firefighters Blues Festival. With the proceeds from this ever growing and wonderful festival, we maintain and operate our two necessary and successful fire safety education programs for children in Michiana: First, is our Survive Alive Houses. These modular homes had been retrofitted with the latest technology to demonstrate an actual house fire and several other traumatic circumstances for the children. Our second program is The Hoosier Burn Camp, located in Battleground Indiana. Operating since 1997, this is a safe place for children whose lives have forever been changed, physically and emotionally, by the tragedies of fire. The Fire Fighters Blues Festival is a day filled with food, fun and music for the entire family. Starting off at 1:00 PM will be our Local 362 Allstars, followed then by Howard and the White Boys. Next up will be Stefan Hillesheim, and then Ivy Ford will take the stage at 7:00 PM. Rounding out our festival will be Albert Castiglia.
