This summer, YMCA of Greater Michiana invites the public to experience movement, mindfulness, and community connection at Jean Klock Park Pavilion in Benton Harbor. From June 8 through August 28, the Y will host free outdoor fitness classes for people of all ages and fitness levels, with a view of Lake Michigan. Weekly class offerings include WERQ on Mondays, Les Mills BodyBalance™ on Tuesdays, and Yoga Moves on Wednesdays. These classes are part of the YMCA’s Community Wellness initiative, focused on making health and wellness more accessible to everyone. No registration or YMCA membership is required, and free parking is included. Participants are encouraged to bring water and a towel or yoga mat. MCHS is announcing the third in its America’s 250 Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture series featuring presentations on the Revolutionary War era. The next Brown Bag event is on Friday, June 12, from Noon – 1:00 p.m. Join Judge Matthew Sarber for an engaging look at the U.S. Constitution — its founding ideas, the influence of the Federalist Papers, and the framework that shaped our government. Judge Sarber will also connect these principles to today’s world, leading what is anticipated to be a thought-provoking discussion and Q&A inspired by current events.
