October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 1 in 3 women in our Michiana community have been or will be affected by domestic violence, which does not discriminate among socioeconomic lines, age, race or religion.  Please know there is help including shelter, legal advice, counseling, recovery and more available through the YWCA of South Bend and Elkhart.
