Wendy is a Special Education teacher who has been with South Central Elementary School and South Central School District in Union Mills for many years and is loved by each one of her students and their parents! Tammi Youngquist teaches at Bittersweet Elementary School in Mishawaka and has been with Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation for many years. Not only has she made an impact on her students, but she has made a lasting impression on their parents as well! Laura Miller

 Laura is an extraordinary school nurse at Eastwood Elementary School in Elkhart. She has a long list of students that require medications and/or other assistance and never misses a beat! Even with covid, she has stayed positive and made everyone's day bright. She has the biggest heart and all of the kiddos at the school adore her! She goes above and beyond. She is truly irreplaceable! Thanks for being so cool, Laura! 
 

Eileen Dimino

Eileen is a phenomenal art teacher at Christ the King Catholic School right here in South Bend! Her students truly appreciate how fun she makes art class. Her creative personality is what really sticks out to everyone. Thanks for being so cool, Eileen!

Jill Ventura

This week’s winner for “Who’s Cool At Your School” is Jill Ventura! Jill is a French and Spanish teacher at Marian High School in Mishawaka, teaching 7 different classes! She works hard to make her lessons engaging and to help her students become fluent. She also coordinates travel abroad trips her students can get immersed in the culture of the language they’re studying. Her students say that she is always there to listen and provide a positive outlook. Thanks for being so cool, Jill!

Joe Kominowski

Joe Kominowski  is the Principal at York Elementary School in Bristol, Indiana. Joe is the Best Principal Ever, aka the “Man With The Plan!” He never stops worrying about how to make everyone happy and he does everything in his power to help out in any situation. Lizabeth Jansen

 

 

Ms. Jansen is the Choir Teacher at Discovery Middle School!  She is super kind and always gives the best treats. She lets her students do super fun Friday games which they absolutely love and look forard to every week! Ms. Jansen also has a bunch of lunch study sessions so students can study for tests,  which really helps. Thanks for being so cool, Lizabeth! 

Cody Smith

Cody Smith is a Custodian at Monger Elementary School in Elkhart! Cody is extremely funny, nice and gets along with all the kids. He has “mad moonwalking skills,”and he also gives all the kids fist bumps & high-fives when they walk into school each morning. He never lets a day go by without putting a smile on their faces! Thanks for being so cool, Cody! 

Tami Bowman

Tami Bowman is a Kindergarten teacher at LaVille Elementary in Lakeville, IN. Parents are calling Tami “the best part of LaVille Elementary!” She always has a warm smile and a big hug waiting for the children. She is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet and always makes sure that you know that you are loved. Thanks for being so cool, Tami!

Norma Bloomer

Norma Bloomer is a Custodian at Penn High School in Mishawaka! Norma takes care of her teachers way beyond just cleaning their classrooms! She crochets tissue boxes for them, brings them handwritten notes and peanut brittle around the holidays, and always ensures teachers have what they need. Teachers have even apologized for leaving a messy room at the end of the day, but she sees how exhausted they are and assures them, “It’s okay, I got it.” Thanks for being the coolest, Norma!
